Do you have…
– Feelings of anxiousness in the time leading up to your driving lesson in Liverpool ?
– Butterflies in the tummy, feeling sick, and a dry mouth?
Do you keep putting your driving lesson off ?
There are ways to overcome your driving nerves, with the expert coaching skills of Hardman Driving School along with patient and friendly instructors, you will be well on your way to passing your driving test in Liverpool.
You are not alone, many people give up driving not because of a lack of driving ability, but because of driving anxiety or nervousness. This can build up before the lesson even starts. Some people are also very nervous of the whole driving experience. Although they like the idea of freedom and independence that comes with driving, many actually find the thought of controlling the car very daunting and have serious doubts about their own ability. Nervous pupils and those lacking in confidence need real understanding, patience and considerably more encouragement than other pupils. At Hardman Driving School, we pride ourselves on offering that support and understanding, enabling our pupils to feel more relaxed and overcome these inhibitions.
Driving Lessons in Liverpool are structured to suit each individual and a pupil. You will never be asked or expected to progress at a rate other than that with which you feel comfortable. Time is spent discussing the a pupil’s concerns and you can be assured that your instructor will be able to pre-empt most situations. We can even take control of the vehicle through use of the brakes, clutch, gears and steering should the need arise.
Hardman Driving School believes in a step-by-step approach to learning to drive and you will progress at your own pace. We will help you build on your skills lesson by lesson. As your confidence grows and your ability to control the car increases, you will learn to drive on a variety of roads. Then we will teach you how to manoeuvre the car in reverse gear. Only when you and your instructor feel that you are ready will you move on to the next level of your training.
Could Hypnotherapy help your driving lessons ?
If you feel that you need extra support during your driving course, could hypnotherapy be the answer?
Hypnotherapy; along with the help of a patient driving instructor; can help you to feel calm, less anxious and back in control of your driving lessons. It can help you prepare mentally to stay focused and relaxed ahead of the driving test itself. Deep relaxation techniques used in hypnosis help you to focus inwards, and start to restore your feeling of confidence and self-belief, providing real help with passing the practical driving test.

“I decided to go to Colin for Hypnotherapy as I suffered with nerves leading up to driving lessons and my driving test. I would cancel lessons at the last minute because I couldn’t deal with them and was convinced that I would crash or cause an accident. Along with my instructor, I thought that Hypnotherapy might be able to help me.”
“I had two sessions; one to help with the driving lessons and then another one two days before my driving test. I felt relaxed and calm during my lessons, and the techniques Colin taught me helped my deal with my anxiety.”
“I was really pleased when I passed my driving test! I definitely think that the Hypnotherapy along with lots of practice with a good instructor helped, and I cannot thank Hardman Driving School enough. I would recommend Colin and Hardman Driving School to anyone who has had the same problem as me. Don’t leave it too late because it works!”
